Louisa in the sunshine

Louisa in the sunshine, originally uploaded by JLP2000.

This is Louisa. She is a Kidz N Cats doll by Sonja Hartmann of Heart and Soul. The Kidz are distributed by the Madame Alexander company in the US and Canada. Louisa is all vinyl, with jointed shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and neck. The newer Kidz have 11 joints (wrists are articulated, too). The bodies are blushed and they are very high quality dolls. Louisa's eyes are described as grey-brown, and I love this shade - it is more unusual than the blues and browns. She is a bit slimmer than the American Girl dolls, and her feet are a little smaller, but I think she will be able to share some of their clothes and shoes, to add her her wardrobe. Louisa loves her little kitty. She also likes candy and playing and reading story books. She is trying to decide which stories are her favorites! You can see more photos of her in my Flickr photostream!

She is so very adorable! I love these dolls and have been fighting temptation. I really don't have room for anymore larger dolls, but I am in love with Amber. I want her so much!

Congrats on your new sweetheart!

Happy new year Jen! Love your new girl, so cute! Santa brought me a Galena, she is the only KnK doll that shows a bit of her teeth while smiling! I too am very impressed with the quality of these dolls, I am enjoying Galena very much. The Toy Shoppe has/had a few of last years KnK outfits on sale at half off.

Best, Ann in NC

Thanks for the kind compliments on Louisa!
Bama - I really don't have the room either, but somehow I keep making a little more room here and there.
Ani - You are on to me! Louisa brought 2 of the "sale" outfits with her when she arrived from the Toy Shoppe! It is funny how the sale price makes the outfit about the same price as an AG outfit, and yet even those seem expensive sometimes! I guess everything is getting more and more expensive these days!
